Understanding prayer times, Adhan & Iqama
Important
This tool shows calculated astronomical prayer entry times for your location. Mosques may announce Adhan (call to prayer) and start congregational prayer (Iqama) at different times depending on country, city, and local policy.
Times are computed from your coordinates, timezone, calculation method, and Asr madhab. They represent when each prayer becomes valid (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) plus sunrise. They are not mosque schedules.
Adhan is the call inviting Muslims to prayer. In many countries it is broadcast from mosques at or near the calculated time, but official timetables, ministries, and individual mosques may adjust by a few minutes. Ramadan, daylight saving, and local sighting of the crescent can also shift published Adhan times.
Iqama is when the congregation begins the prayer behind the imam. It is almost always after Adhan — the gap varies by mosque, prayer, season, and country. Always confirm Iqama with your local mosque or official prayer timetable.

Approximate ranges only — your mosque may differ, especially on Fridays, in Ramadan, or during summer/winter schedules.
On Fridays, Dhuhr is replaced by Jumu'ah for those who attend the congregational sermon. Khutbah may start before, at, or shortly after the Dhuhr entry time depending on the country and mosque. Some cities publish fixed Jumu'ah slots (e.g. 12:30 or 13:00) that differ from astronomical Dhuhr. Check your local mosque for the exact khutbah and Iqama schedule.
Iqama schedules differ widely. Use this tool for calculated entry times and verify Adhan/Iqama with your local mosque, Islamic center, or official ministry timetable.
Ask your local mosque or check its posted timetable.
Many countries publish official prayer times (e.g. Awqaf ministries in the Gulf, Diyanet in Turkey, MOIA in Saudi Arabia).
Mosque-specific apps and neighborhood groups often share daily Iqama times that change by season.
